Returns and complaints
14 days to withdraw, 2 years to complain. No small print.
As a consumer you have 14 days to cancel a distance contract without giving a reason, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. The 14 days run from the day you received the goods, or the last parcel of the order.
How to return an item
- Write to hello@corporalwojtek.com quoting the order number and what you are returning. A statement of withdrawal in the body of the e-mail is enough.
- Send the goods back within 14 days of that statement, to the address we give you in our reply.
- We refund the price plus the cheapest standard delivery we offer within 14 days of receiving your statement, using the same payment method. We may hold the refund until the goods reach us.
We will give you the return address in reply to your request.
The cost of returning the goods is borne by the buyer. We do not accept cash-on-delivery parcels.
When the right of return does not apply
- Goods made to the buyer’s specification or clearly personalised, such as a print with your own text.
You may examine and try an item on as you would in a shop. If it is handled beyond what is needed to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning (for example washed, or with the tags cut off), you keep the right to return it, but we may reduce the refund by the loss in value.
Faulty goods (your statutory rights)
Goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality: that is the Consumer Rights Act 2015. In the first 30 days after delivery you can ask for a refund, and after that for a repair or a replacement. Write to hello@corporalwojtek.com.
If an item is faulty, damaged in transit or simply not what you ordered, write to hello@corporalwojtek.com with the order number and photos. We answer within 14 days. A consumer claim over goods that are not as they should be can be brought for six years (England, Wales and Northern Ireland) or five years (Scotland).
For transit damage a damage report signed with the courier helps, but its absence does not bar a complaint.
Disputes
If we cannot settle things between us, the Citizens Advice consumer service gives free help, and you keep the right to bring a claim in the courts of the place where you live.
