Description
Classic print: Wojtek’s engraving as it appears in our mark, with dark eyes.
The back features a large engraving of Wojtek above the Corporal Wojtek name and the motto: The Brave Bear Who Fought for Freedom. A smaller version of the design appears on the chest.
Inspired by Wojtek, the bear enlisted as a private in the Polish II Corps who became a corporal and spent his later years in Edinburgh. His finely drawn portrait is at the heart of the design.
Every element is considered. Every line means something.
Construction: 185 gsm, no side seams, twin-needle shoulder seams, lycra-reinforced neck rib and reinforcing tape. Size and care symbols are printed inside the neck.
Sizes S, M, L, XL and 2XL, each measured in centimetres in the size guide.

Where the bear comes from
Wojtek was a bear taken in by Polish soldiers in Iran and entered on the army roll so he could sail with them to Italy. He made corporal, and that rank gave us our name.
